When getting to your job and getting around becomes a priority you really need to focus on how to save gas. Gas costs over $4 a gallon, so we all need to save as much gas as we can and the following tips can help.

If we want to continue living with our normal lifestyle we are going to have to learn how to save gas. When your car is an essential part of getting your job done, then you need to pay attention to how much gas you spend. Crude oil is going way up, at costs well over $130 a barrel and gas prices sitting at $4 a gallon, we need to find other options. The following tips will help you learn how to save on gas.

This is the way HHOs work. A small canister is installed in the car and it is mixed with bicarb of soda and water. The canister gets its power from the battery and then it creates HHO gas that is then sent to the carburetor or manifold. Your MPG increases by approximately 30%. The engine runs smoother and more efficiently and emits fewer emissions.

Another way to save on gas is to drive less. So when you go for local errands, you should walk or ride a bike, you can even take a motor scooter or motorcycle. When you go for longer distances, either car pool or drive to your nearest bus station or train station.

Another way to save gas is to turn off your car when you are not driving. Don’t let your car sit in idle for even a minute . This will save you on gas. Some other basic car maintenance procedures will help you get more mileage out of your car.

* Turn off the air conditioner in heavy traffic, and on the highway be sure it is on, because when you roll down the windows you create drag which makes your car use more energy. * Get rid of extra weight in your car. Make sure you don’t carry anything you don’t need. The extra weight causes your car to use more energy. * Don’t use anything that will interfere with your cars aerodynamics. So, don’t use luggage racks, bike racks or anything like that. * Check the tire pressure. If your tires are not inflated then your car spends more gas. * Make sure your car is clean and waxed because friction with air causes your car to lose gas mileage.

Other things that have to do with maintenance will also help you save on gas. Make sure that you change your air filter every 10,000 miles, and make sure you get your oil changed on time. Get your car tuned and inspected as it should be, to keep it running well.

Hopefully the above tips showed you a few things on how to save gas. Remember to fill your tank with gas but don’t overfill it because this adds unwanted weight to your car. Follow all of the tips and you wont worry so much about the price of gas.
