RV Wholesaler and Dealer

by Keith Windlor

“If it still feels like a good deal years after you purchased an item, then chances are it was a good deal to begin with” — quote by Michael Cooper of Project 2000 Sales Seminars, Dallas, TX. This quote is especially the case when it comes to making that vehicle purchase from a recreational vehicle dealer.

If you purchase a product and are still happy with it many years later, chances are good that you did pretty well on the purchase. In the recreational vehicle market, naturally, the dealer often gets overlooked by the consumer who is more fascinated with the RV itself. While it is only normal to focus on the product, the dealer can make a lot of difference in the level of quality of your purchase.

While many people are unaware of the fact, vacationing with your family in a recreational vehicle can save up to 70% of the cost of your vacation. With this type of savings, it would seem that the RV purchase would be a win-win situation for any family. With this type of savings, it only makes sense to enjoy an RV camping lifestyle and do away with the usual scheme of hotels and expensive airfare. While the initial investment is large, it breaks down to being highly affordable over the years.

It is important to understand how long the dealership has been doing business. While it might sound like common sense or even somewhat redundant, it is important, just like with any other business, to find out how long they have been in business and what kind of business that they have been doing. Understanding the reputation of the dealer and the individual is critical to understanding your chances of receiving a high level of service after this. Without knowing for certain how long they have been in business, it can be a mystery for customers making this type of purchase.

It is also critical to find a reputable RV dealer that is less concerned about taking you for all your worth and more concerned about your budget and your family needs. By being openly communicative and talking to you on a level playing field, the RV dealers should be able to come to an agreement as to the price that you willing to pay and the recreational vehicle that you are ready to drive away. Finding a motorhome that is suitable to your family is more important than sparing an RV dealers feelings.

Of course, you’ll want to deal with an RV wholesaler, such as Pedata RV dealership in Tucson Arizona. In the case of a wholesaler, they have the ability to order any type of product that you might require that they do not have in stock. One of the main differences between a wholesaler and a simple dealer is that the size of the inventory and availability of new products are much higher with a wholesaler.

In this case, you can even do your shopping online, as Pedata RV wholesale has a strong nationwide online sales network. By doing business with an established RV wholesaler, you can be sure that you are taking advantage of all the privileges that a well-established company can provide you.

Even if you live in some other state, it is still worth your while to take advantage of the Tucson, Arizona-based RV dealer. Specializing in nationwide online RV sales, Pedata RV dealership is second to none and features a massive inventory for you to take advantage of while sitting at the comfort of your home computer.

How to Choose the Most Convenient Auto Club

by A Nutt

Choosing an auto club is a very important choice. It isn’t enough to simply choose whatever auto club program comes your way. That is because each auto club is different in that they have their own set of benefits and price ranges. It is important to explore all of these options in order to find the program that is the right program. The wrong program is going to provide you with things you don’t need and those things you do need won’t be available to you. To make sure this doesn’t happen to you, make sure you do your research.

The pros and cons

There are certain pros and cons that must be evaluated when choosing the most convenient auto club. This includes cost, whether or not roadside assistance is included, if travel discounts such as disney world tickets discounts are offered, and if any other discounts are provided to members. When it comes to cost, the cost of an auto club membership can exceed that of your regular roadside assistance. However, the auto club is going to provide you with more benefits.

As mentioned before, there are possible discounts included for when you travel. There are also discounts possibly included when you?re not traveling. For example, you can eat at a restaurant that honors your auto club card and receive 10% off of your meal total. You can also find discounts at retail outlets and outlets on the internet.

In regards to how the discounts work, a travel discount is going to provide you with savings on vacation packages, rental cars, hotels, cruises, and so much more. The discount is only relevant to traveling and nothing else. Other discounts include the restaurants and the retail outlets. A discount program is very important because that means you?re going to save some money while traveling. That is money that can be used to do something extra or eat at that extra special restaurant. Those discounts can also be the difference between staying in a 3 star hotel and staying in a 4 star hotel.

Roadside assistance

Saving money through auto club discounts is great, but roadside assistance is actually the most important part of an auto club membership. This is because roadside assistance is what is going to assist you if you?re stranded without help. It is very important to learn everything possible about the roadside assistance contained within auto club memberships. Here are the specifics that a good roadside assistance program should possess:

- Towing service ? This can pay for the cost of the auto club membership since one towing can cost around $75.

- Tire change service: This is important because a flat tire can occur at anytime. Roadside assistance will summon help to put on your spare tire for you.

- Lockout service: Everyone locks their keys in their car at one time or another. Having a locksmith get the keys out of your car can cost around $30 to $40. Having this assistance provided by your auto club?s roadside assistance is included in your membership.

- Gas and battery service: If you run out of gas, roadside assistance includes gas to be brought to you so that you can get to the next gas station and fill up. They should also give your battery a jump if your battery dies.

All of these services should be included in roadside assistance, so make sure that they are. These services will ensure that you do not become stranded in an unfamiliar or dangerous place.

Do your research

So make sure you do your research before choosing an auto club. Make sure that you can use all of the services provided and that you?re not paying for services you can?t use. Everyone needs to have an auto club membership. Everyone just doesn’t need the same package.

Evacuate Detroit!

by Bertel Schmitt

Billionaires turn their backs at Detroit while Chinese women buy new cars with 3 months of breastfeeding. By Bertel Schmitt, CEO Sinamotive Group (HK) Limited.

This is low. So low, this must be the bottom: Turn-around artists are turning their backs on Detroit’s auto makers. Billionaire Kirk Kerkorian sells his holdings in Ford Motor Co. , after his nearly one billion dollar investment (made when he thought Ford was way underpriced) lost two thirds of its value. Kerkorian had to put up 50 million shares of his MGM Mirage Casino to secure the credit line he used to buy into Ford. It’s panic city when supposedly recession-proof investments in CASINOS are pledged to prop up auto makers. (However, even casinos aren’t the sure bet they used to be. )

Cerberus, motivated (coaxed? threatened?) by JPMorgan Chase & Co. and Citigroup Inc., which hold a lot of the debt from Cerberus’s purchase of Chrysler from Germany’s DaimlerChrysler, is desperately seeking a suitor for Chrysler. The preferred partner in that arranged marriage is GM. Cerberus is said to be in talks with Nissan Motor Co., Renault SA, and anybody else who reads the prospectus. People in the know discount these as diversionary tactics to lend more urgency to the wedding with GM. The Chrysler/GM marriage has been praised in the mainstream media as the savior of the U.S. auto industry, as a “win-win” situation full of “synergy” potential. These words rank big in the Dictionary of Corporate Bullshit - people in the know for the exit when these words appear in a Powerpoint deck. Our friends over at <a href=”http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/editorial-general-motors-death-watch-205-the-world-according-to-tarp/” TheTruthAboutCars compare the Chrysler/GM shotgun wedding to the “Titanic rescuing the Lusitania.”

“Typical investors, and Cerberus is anything but typical, are running from the automotive industry,” Warren Feder , partner at Carl Marks Advisory Group LLC in New York, said. “It’s hard to see any upside with a degree of comfort, and you need that to make an equity investment.”

Next year, China could buy more cars than Americans

JPMorgan Chase & Co, who should have a vested (see above) interest in painting the picture of the auto industry in at least shades of rosy, just did the opposite. Himanshu Patel, an analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co. wrote in a report on October 21, 2008 that U.S. auto deliveries could fall to an annual rate of 10 million vehicles this quarter and as low as 11 million next year. A few days before, J.D. Power and Associates still had estimated that 13.2 units would be sold in the U.S. for 2009. Patel’s 2009 estimate would be the lowest rate since 1982. The predictions get grislier by the day.

China may sell more cars in 2009 than the U.S.

If Patel is right (and, see above, his firm paid dearly for insider knowledge about the auto business,) and if China maintains a - by Chinese standards - rather sedate growth rate, come 2009, the Chinese auto market might be the same size or even larger than the U.S. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, had already predicted 10 million units for 2008, but with growth slowing in China, the Eastern Empire may not reach that target this year. Next year, unless the sky will fall, 11 million cars sold in Chinas are entirely in the cards.

U.S. auto industry goes hungry. Babies too.

Anyway, Bloomberg says that the exit of Kerkorian, Cerberus & Co. “may leave the U.S. auto industry without new funding just as sales head to a 26-year low.”

Here comes a really disturbing bit of data: “Most consumers are worried about: ‘Will I have enough to put food on the table so my family can eat?’ Eduardo Castro-Wright, President and CEO of Wal-Mart’s U.S. operations told attendees of a luncheon sponsored by Town Hall Los Angeles. His stores see spikes of sales of baby formula when paychecks come in, “suggesting consumers are rushing to buy such necessities as soon as they have the cash,” Reuters reported. “As the economy worsens, Wal-Mart’s customers have increasingly shown signs of living paycheck to paycheck. Wal-Mart’s sales typically surge around pay periods at the beginning and middle of the month. Castro-Wright said that spike has become more pronounced as consumers’ budgets become more stressed.”

Buy a new car with 3 months of breastfeeding.

Speaking of China, in the wake of the milk worries, affluent Chinese parents of babies increasingly turn to “milk mothers” or “Nai Ma” to breast feed their new-born if the real mother doesn’t want to or can’t. Baby formula? No, thank you. Or “bu, xie, xie,” as they say here. Don’t trust the stuff. They want the real thing for their only child. In Beijing, a milk mother from the countryside can clear between $300 and $1600 a month, with free healthcare, free room and only the most nutritious of free food. The starting salary of a secretary in Beijing is around $300 a month, and she must use the money to pay for food and shelter.

Back to topic #1: If an American family can barely feed their babies, the likelihood of buying a new car is nil or worse. The Chinese milk mother can buy a new car for cash with three or 5 months earnings (if she opts for e better model.). The International Breastfeeding Committee of WHO/Unicef recommends breastfeeding for six months. Chinese hospitals do recommend a year or more. After a year of watching DVDs and feeding someone’s baby, the milk mother will have two or three cars to take home. Meanwhile, back in the U.S.A., parents need parts to keep their cars running, at least twice a month, for a trip to Wal-Mart.

Car Accident: What to Do After

by A Nutt

No one really likes to think about having an accident with their vehicle, but if you drive, you`re at risk for ending up in a crash, no matter how minor. Luckily, the majority of car accidents are fairly simple and end up only causing minimal damage to the vehicles, but it`s a good idea to know exactly what you should do in the case of a car accident.

1. Check if anyone is injured. Not all injuries will show up right away, but you definitely want to make sure that everyone involved in the car accident is alright. The first concern, if anyone is injured, is to get medical help. You`ll need to stop any bleeding and call 911 to make sure that help is on the way.

2. Divert traffic, if needed. Often, a car accident that immobilizes a vehicle will end up blocking traffic, so it`s a good idea to ensure that there is a way to divert traffic, either with a flare or traffic cones from an emergency kit, or having someone actually wave passing cars around the broken down vehicle. Hazard lights are also a must if they are still functioning.

3. Report the accident. Your car insurance will be useless if you can`t prove that the accident actually happened. So, an accident report should always be filed with the police even in minor fender benders that don`t seem that serious. You`ll need to make repairs and you definitely want the car insurance company to cover it, so make sure that everything is on paper and signed by the police. Stay on the scene until the accident report has been completely filled out.

4. Don`t admit anything. Immediately after an accident, it`s a good idea to keep your mouth shut as to who was at fault. It`s pretty easy to get angry, particularly if you weren`t the one at fault, but that can lead to a much nastier situation. To prevent problems, it`s best to wait until the police arrive. Also, admitting that you were at fault can cause problems down the road, so keep your mouth shut until you can speak with the police or your insurance company.

5. Write everything down. It`s a good idea to keep a pad of paper and a couple of pens in your glove box. This way you can write down all pertinent information that could be useful later on. This includes names of all parties involved, addresses, phone numbers and email, as well as the license plate number, car insurance information and VIN, since these can all be handy later on if the incident goes to court.

6. File an insurance claim. This should be done as quickly as possible after the accident. For minor accidents, you can even call from the scene and make sure that your claim is in as fast as possible. Not only does this mean you can shorten the amount of time that it takes for your claim to go through, you have the added benefit of police officers there to help you explain the situation and give them information.

Auto insurance is vital to have when comes to accidents. While no one wants to be in a car accident, that doesn`t mean you should ignore the worst case scenario. You could be in the position where you need some repairs on the vehicle, thanks to the accident, and rather than having the huge expenses come out of your pocket, your insurance company will take care of it, something that can be no end of relief when everything else is going downhill.

Is Running a Car On Water a Realistic Vison?

by Dan Sewinski

Environmentalists everywhere are excited by the latest development in technology. Hydrogen technology has existed in one form or another for many years. A great deal of research effort is now being conducted by many businesses and governmnets because hydrogen and other alternative fuel sources promise many advantage if they can be made to work.

Automobile engines are generally gas powered but converted cars are now using hydrogen fuel. The best thing about this is you now will have a choice as to which you want to use, hydrogen fuel or gas in your vehicle.

There are many advantages to using hydrogen and fuel cells. Hydrogen gained negative publicity after the 1937 Zeppelin accident in Hindenburg. Because this event was extensively publicized people today still may think that hydrogen is unsafe. If you have done any research on hydrogen, you know that the fuel cells are not hazardous and very easy to operate. With today’s technology, the use of hydrogen is nothing to fear.

Hydrogen can offer a large amount of energy. Fuel cells are powered bye a gas similar to water vapor. This gas is HHO. With the HHO generator, hydrogen and oxygen molecules will be separated. Since water is available just about anywhere, scarcity is not an issue, compared to the availability of oil and its soaring prices.

It really doesn’t take much to maintain fuel cells in your hydrogen-converted vehicle. Your basic job is to make sure the quart-sized tank contains the right amount of fluid. Keep in mind that at this time it is unavoidable for you to give large chunks of your income to gas stations since you are depending on them for transportation. So, it’s up to you to stop this vicious cycle by converting your vehicle to hydrogen power as soon as you can. Currently these cars are especially limited, and usually there are restrictions when buying them. However, if hydrogen resources improve over time and these vehicles are more accessible, the cost will decrease and be a reasonable option for all in days to come.

Being assured that the use of hydrogen and fuel cells will not pose any danger, will you make the switch to a converted car? All that is necessary to accomplish this change is a hydrogen fuel car kit or boost kit and your car will be running on hydrogen power. In exchange you will gain improved mileage and benefit your home economics by saving hard-earned money.

Presently hydrogen fuel is under continuous research and studies. They are working to find less expensive ways of getting the unstable hydrogen atom. A large portion of the atmosphere is made up of hydrogen, but it is unstable in this form. With all the studies in progress, people can expect a less polluted planet in the future.

Environmental activists are working towards the global use of hydrogen and fuel cells. Each country must decide how best to implement the use of this clean technology. Unfortunately, due to its expense, at this time only the wealthier nations can afford hydrogen technologies.

Discount Auto Insurance - Based On Driving Factors

by Joseph Welusz

Discount auto insurance is now available by the number of miles you drive. It is starting to spread across the country. This idea has been around for a long time but now insurance carriers are starting to implement the program. The next time you are getting auto insurance quotes see if it is available.

The program first started on the west coast as a pilot discount auto insurance program and it was recently approved for New Jersey through Progressive insurance. There is only one other company that I am aware of that offers auto insurance quotes this way; and that is GMAC Insurance who only offer it to people that have Onstar in there vehicles.

Progressive insurance will have a devise attached to you automobile to track the speed you drive, breaking habits and mileage. GMAC’s Onstar has a GPS tracking system and I’m not sure of how they measure your driving habits. This is what causes some concerns.

Many government officials and non-profit organizations have questions about the tracking measure that will be used. Some feel by adding one of these devises to your car you could be giving up some constitutional freedoms. The other concern is that it will not benefit people that live in rural areas because they need to drive further than the average city dweller daily.

The discount on your auto insurance could be as much as 9% over people that don’t participate in the program. My concern is how much can your premium be increased if your driving habits to fit what the insurance company has set as normal. Also how does the insurance company determine what is the correct breaking pressure?

A concern of mine is if this program is picked by all the main insurance carriers in the future if you don’t part take in the program will your premiums automatically increase. I understand the insurance company’s point of view of offering lower rates to more responsible drivers that do not drive that far but years down the road how will this affect all of us?

This program was put in place in New Jersey on August 8th of 2008. Let’s wait to see how long it will take to be rolled out in all the states. It will also be interesting to see if other insurance companies put together a similar program.

I believe every individual should be able to decide if they want to participate in a program like this. You know how you drive and how far you travel daily. I am totally open to the underlying thought but I am a tad cynical about how they might monitor my driving habits and how this will affect us in the future.

Hope For The Used Car Salesman In The Credit Crisis

by Mak

At the current time it is difficult for people to get a loan from a bank. The banks are not even loaning their money to qualified people. So, how can the typical person afford to buy a car? Well, they look at used cars instead because they are more affordable.

People are considering purchasing slightly used cars over new and expensive cars because of the costs. Since the banks are not lending money at the time people need to find another way to get what they want. One way is to pay cash for the items that you need which includes a car.

This is band new for banks and new car salesman, but it could spark a competitive market for used cars salesman. The only hurdle to overcome is the reputation that has stained the used car sales industry for years. You know what I am talking about.

Honesty is the best approach to get skeptical people buy a used car. Tell the potential buyer the facts about the car and do not lie. This will only hurt your chances of the potential buyer finding out that you were lying and not going through with the sale.

Before people go to the used car lot they typically search the internet for answers to their questions. They look for car details and prices then compare them to what the car salesman says. If the car salesman is parallel to what the customer found on the internet then the customer will be more trusting to the sales man. This could result in a sale.

Selling used cars is a finical business. The salesman has to treat the buyer with respect and handle their needs carefully. The slightest disagreement could make the buyer go someplace else. With the market the way it is, the car salesman does not want to lose potential buyers.

Once you establish a foundation for a good relationship with the potential buyer then you should try and evaluate their intentions. What type of car do you think they are looking for and how much do you really think they are willing to spend? All of these intuitions of the used car salesman can help him seal the deal.

Now is a great time to begin selling those used cars. Some of the prices are the lowest they have been in many years so people are beginning to go out and purchase items such as cars. If you are having difficulties then look into training. Books and other materials are available to help you make that sale.

The Debate between Diesel Pushers and Gasoline Engines

by Keith Windlor

Motorhome engines come in two different classifications — gasoline or diesel. The terminology used when referring to the diesel engine is “diesel puller” or “diesel pusher” depending on whether it is a front diesel engine or rear diesel engine motorhome. Before you decide one way or the other on what type of engine you want, consider the following advantages and disadvantages when formulating your decision as to the type of engine you want in your recreational vehicle.

1. With any type of recreational vehicle more than 35 feet long you should consider a diesel pusher. With a 35 foot long vehicle, the weight and the length are both critical considerations. Just as climbing the hilly terrain can require extra power, pushing a longer vehicle requires a tremendous amount of power from your engine. Diesel engines have always provided a superior method of going up hills and pulling massive weights.

2. Diesel engines start and run much smoother in the modern day than they used to. Modern-day diesel technology allows vehicles to start very quietly and produce tremendous amount of power more efficiently. As technology has improved, so has the experience of utilizing the diesel motor, as many of the issues with diesel motors have been put to rest over the years.

3. Gasoline engines are less expensive than diesel pushers. The idea of paying more for your diesel engine and then having to pay more for the fuel as well is not a very happy one for many people. On the other hand, the diesel engine is far more fuel-efficient and will last much longer than the gasoline engine. While there are some issues anytime that you are in extremely cold temperatures, the use of the diesel engine is far more efficient and there are additives that you can mix into your fuel to eliminate the cold-weather hangups.

4. Gasoline engines tend to be easier and cheaper to repair than diesel. Naturally, any time you take your diesel into the shop for repairs, you will find that it will be more expensive than the gasoline alternative might be. In most cases, you will find that not all are the mechanics are certified and knowledgeable about the diesel engines as well as they are gasoline. Despite all these negative issues, diesel engines can provide 500,000 miles and more and are considerably more durable than gasoline engines and have greatly improved with modern technology.

In the long run, the decision of what type of investment to make in your motorhome is up to the owner. Investing in a diesel pusher, or even a puller, versus a gasoline driven motor is a debate for all manner of owners and their spouses. While there are low and high points involved in whatever type of motorhome you might want to get, only the owner can decide what type of recreational vehicle they would prefer.
