Repo Vehicles ? Buying Signature Cars for Less

A Repo vehicles auction enables a buyer with a small budget to own his own signature car. These cars will be sold at a much lower price, probably up to 90% less of its actual selling price in the market. Therefore, if you want to get an automobile for less, here is a good option for you.

If ever you are wondering where these repossessed cars came from, there are in fact 2 sources. First are banks. Some people who loaned them from certain banks were not able to complete their payments. Because of that, these banks repossessed them and resell them to interested buyers.

Some of them may have come from police agencies. Authorities took over cars that were smuggled or confiscated and they will be later on sold at auctions. In bigger countries such as the US, you can expect a huge number of vehicles that police authorities take possession of each week. Hence, there are a lot of them that needs to be disposed by offering them to the public for a minimal cost.

You will still find most of these vehicles running in good condition. They are being sold in auctions for a very low cost, certainly because the firms that are holding them do not want to store them for a long time. It will cost them money to keep and maintain these vehicles; therefore, they have to get rid of them at once to avoid some expenditure.

On the other hand, there are also repo vehicles that are being sold with questionable conditions. They may contain some reparable damages. You can expect that these types of vehicles will be sold at a much lower price granting that you welcome the possibility of spending for the repairs and other services that they will need after the purchase is done. If you know how to calculate the cost, buying such type can be a smart move. In some cases, the seller shoulders the expenses, and adds a bit more amount to the selling price of the vehicle.

If you are truly interested in purchasing repossessed cars, you should as well become aware of scams. There are people out there who make it appear like auctions are scheduled to take place. They will gather registration fees and so on, just to find out later on that the ads are not real. To avoid scams, it will serve you best if you will check on the authenticity of these auctions by contacting banks and specific government agencies.

To be sure, better check on various databases online that can give you sources of official repossessed cars auctions or sales. It is in fact better to go directly rather than transact through a middleman, which will make you pay more.

Some sales agencies do not discuss about the hidden charges of the repo vehicles during the auction. To be safe, you have to ask them. Make sure you understood all the things written on the terms and conditions before making any purchase.

Being Intoxicated When Driving

It is an all too common scenario. You and co-workers stop after work for a get together and have a couple drinks, and even though you do not feel impaired when leaving you find yourself being pulled over and charged with DWI ( Driving While Intoxicated). State laws have, with pressure from groups such as MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Drivers), tightened up on the law for DWI offenders with an additional boost to the revenue.

Drunk drivers are involved in more fatal accidents, so states don’t make much difference in treatment of those that have a couple drinks after work and those that are alcoholics that down a twelve pack every night after work. You will both have to pay an attorney the same costs and you are both subject to the same penalties, jail time and fines, especially on first offenses.

Once the BAC (blood alcohol content), was lowered to .08 it was devastating to bar owners and their business. For the average person the .08 level would be like consuming two beers in one hour or less. There can be license suspension for thirty days minimum even before the court date and the offender being found guilty. These suspensions are mandatory. Then there are the SATOP classes which will cost a couple hundred dollars and don’t forget the legal fees.

Even though alcohol is legal and you can buy it if you are old enough, you still will have to suffer tougher consequences for drinking than you would for another substance like marijuana. You will also have higher defense costs than a drug user and this is especially true if you are just a social drinker and are unlucky enough to get caught.

Such cases may fall under the DUI charge, which is driving under the influence. Most states define a DUI as being when it is obvious to the police you have consumed alcohol, but your BAC test does not exceed the 0.08% limit. The police are allowed to charge you with a DUI if they can just smell alcohol on your breath and that basically means that just one sip of a drink can result in the hassles, expenses and license suspensions that every heavy drinker gets when they are pulled over and caught drinking and driving.

These new, stricter “drunk” driving laws discourage you from having a drink with dinner or visiting a bar for a birthday party or anything else. The risk of getting caught is what makes some people only drink at home and withdraw from any social setting where they might want to have a drink or two as a social occasion.

One way of avoiding the risk of being caught is to have someone come along to any festivity, such as a birthday party or bachelor party, etc., that will not drink at all to be the driver but some don’t think it is fair for one to be pressured in it and not enjoy the festivities same as they are.

If you are reading this article, then you have every right to be concerned if you already have a DWI or DUI on your record. Unfortunately, the best advice that can be offered is to prepare for tough financial times, since you will spending a lot of money even before you are possibly found guilty in court, Also keep in mind that the mandatory driver’s license suspension doesn’t have anything to do with the outcome of the court’s verdict. In fact, almost every state will immediately suspend your driving privileges and that for at least 30 days. However, a good lawyer can help you to get a hardship license and may even save you from a jail sentence, paying an expensive find and losing your driver’s license for one year.

Disadvantages Of Playing Golf

Whether you care to admit it or not, golf is a very attention-grabbing sport. It has lured its own share of fanatics and critics. There are those who support it because of the supposed perks it offers while others are assailing it for the drawback it entails. Right now, if you are still in doubt on which side to lean towards, here is an interesting list of drawbacks that may make you want to conduct a very thorough cost-benefit analysis.

First of all, playing golf is something that is reserved for the elite because it requires a deep bank account. If you don’t have sufficient funds, you cannot play well. How can you when you don’t have cash to pay for the golf club membership? You can’t also afford to buy luxurious golf clubs, pay the trainer, caddy and the use of the cart. If you are just a nobody who aims to become a superstar in this field, you need more than skills. It is imperative that you have courage so that you can pursue your passion. You must continuously strive to become better so that advertisers will notice you and offer you to be their endorser. If you fail to do this, you will simply rot along the way.

Additionally, this game is not for the weak of heart since it is more than just a physical competition. It requires mental alertness as well as meticulous analysis. One must have high intellectual skills to assess whether the weather condition is appropriate for teeing or not.

The second inconvenience of playing golf is it does not really contribute much to one’s physical improvement. When compared to other sports like basketball, football, lawn tennis or baseball, golf is very low impact. Striking balls will only burn a few calories. If you are a keen observer, you will also notice that most golfers would rather ride their motorized carts rather than walk as they transfer from one hole to another. This is the easy route that they choose to follow. Another flaw with playing golf is it places the entire burden on the caddy that carries the clubs and equipments of their bosses.

If you want to lose weight, improve your flexibility or tone your body, this is not a good choice to even make the shortlist. You are better off finding another sport to be involved in.

Third, playing golf will make you an indirect destroyer of the natural flora of the environment. Have you ever seen an unruly fairway in your entire life? Of course not! The greenery is maintained so that the grasses would look and feel perfect for the select few who are playing the game. Every day, fountains are turned on using thousand of liters of water to maintain the place in its impeccable form. Sprinkling a valuable resource such as water purely for aesthetic purposes surely reeks of elitism and complete disregard for Mother Nature.

Wasting a huge expanse of land is such a sad thing to do. Imagine doubling that figure if you have an 18-hole golf course. It is simply not a practical thing to do in this day and age where many people are living in the streets or in crowded areas.

As you can see, getting involved with golf is not the same as any other sport. You need to think a lot about numerous factors before making the crucial decision so that you will not feel guilty later on.

Different Types of Personal Injuries Cases

Personal injury cases are those where a person gets injured due to negligence or some intentional actions by another person or entity. It can happen due to many reasons. The injured one is entitled to damages once the judgment is made in his favor.

Many persons that file for such damages have a genuine reason but there are people who do this to squeeze thousands of dollars from a business or another person. They take unfair advantage of a situation or provision.

A personal injury case can originate anywhere. It may happen at workplaces, retail shops, factories or even roads. Someone may have caused the injury unknowingly. The case is put forward to be decided by the court after which compensation may be awarded to the injured person.

Transportation industry is a big source of such cases. The automobile sector is a place where many injuries take place. People often file claims for injuries caused by other drivers. The legal system in Florida may be different from other states. So the result may not be the same everywhere.

A driver may have hurt another person due to various reasons. His ability to drive may be affected due to the intake of alcohol or drugs before driving. He may also be running the vehicle above the speed limits.

Auto Repair: Finding an Auto Repair Shop

It is always best to find a great auto repair shop before your car breaks down. Most of the time as soon as your car breaks down you are just in a frantic to get it fixed and you will bring it anywhere. Here are a few questions or things to look for when you are trying to find that perfect auto repair shop.

The first thing that I look for when I look for a great auto repair shop is great customer service. If the auto shop can?t communicate well with the customer, it doesn?t matter how much they charge, I would never work with them. The customer needs to know what is going on at all times with their car so communication and customer service is my number one priority.

Get on the Internet and start looking around for local auto repair shops near you. While you?re doing that, look up reviews and experiences people have had with each shop. You?ll be able to see what the shop didn?t put on their website.

Experience is another key factor that you can learn about on the auto repair shops website. In fact, I like to know about the company before I work with them and I will only work with an auto repair shop if they have a website. Websites are such a great way to find out the history and experience of any auto repair shop.

It is also important to know prices and products. Pick an auto repair company that will talk about these things with you. Don?t always go to the shop that has the cheapest parts, they might always be the best for your car, and might not last that long either.

Look around online and find auto car shops and numbers. Call around and ask them for possible references, labor rates, warranty information, policies on customer satisfaction, and certifications. These are all important key elements that good auto repair shops know.

Don?t forget to ask them about possible warranty information on labor or parts. You need to know that the company you choose believes in there work and products.

Also ask them about possible certifications that their mechanics have. Certifications will show how qualified the mechanics are too.

RV Camping Is The Next Step After Automotive Camping

When I was a young man I would hike and then camp under the stars. I loved to go places I had never been before. But I will admit as I am a bit older now, I do enjoy R.V. camping.

RV’s are available in many different sizes and shapes. The smallest is a camper shell that fits in the back of a pick-up truck. Although they may be small there is a lot of convenience in a very small area.

The next step up is a van conversion. A class B motor home is a cargo van that is used as a camping vehicle. Sometimes the roof is raised a bit to offer more head room.

The class C motor home looks like a pick-up in the front. There is a sleeping area over the cab area, the back end looks like a motor home. The class C has all the comforts of home. A bathroom, kitchen, living room and bedroom. You could live comfortable in a class C.

The next larger version is the class A. These motor homes are like a one bedroom apartment, the roomiest of all the RV’s. They are completely self contained from the queen sized bed to the dinette that seats four people in luxury.

Class A motor homes are usually equipped with a refrigerator and stove, some even have a microwave oven. There may even be an ice maker, some models are capable of producing 20 pounds a day.

There are also travel trailers that hook to a regular trailer hitch and have a pop up top. If you would like to go a little larger there is the fifth wheel trailer that is towed through a hitch in the bed of a pick-up. Either of these two choices are very extravagant and they are much cheaper than a motor home.

If you are not sure that camping is for you, start off small maybe a used camper to get the feel of the situation. But which ever way you decide to go you should learn all you can about RV’ing before hand. There are RV forums online that you can ask question of and receive a lot of valuable information.

North Carolina Lemon Law a great tool for consumers with problem vehicles

To understand why the North Carolina lemon law was created, you must understand how the law worked before its inception. Before the lemon law was enacted, auto owners with auto problems were forced to seek redress of their claims with large automobile manufacturers. Seeing a problem with the disparity of the parties, the North Carolina Legislature developed the lemon law, which created the right for an automobile purchaser to bring a lemon law case against an automobile maker.

The North Carolina Lemon Law protects purchasers of new automobiles that were bought in North Carolina. The law also applies people leasing automobiles in North Carolina as well. The law is applicable to all types of automobiles and motorcycles purchased in North Carolina. It covers trucks and some vans too.

The North Carolina Lemon Law, also known as the New Motor Vehicles Warranties Act requires manufacturers to repair defects that affect the use, value, or safety of a new motor vehicle within the first 24 months or 24,000 miles of ownership. Under the Lemon law, it is presumed that a reasonable number of attempts have been undertaken and the motor vehicle is a lemon and cannot conform to the applicable express warranties if:

The purchaser has had the automobile in the dealership four (4) or more times for the same concern and the concern continues to exist; or

The purchaser did not have use of the automobile while repairs were attempted or while the automobile was awaiting a repair attempt. The impairment of use of the automobile must be for twenty or more days in the warranty period. There is a catch though, to get the presumption the purchaser send correspondence to the manufacturer putting it on notice of the concerns with the vehicle.

Once the vehicle is shown to be a lemon, the lemon law provides that the consumer may choose either a replacement or a refund. Specifically, the manufacturer shall replace the vehicle with a comparable new motor vehicle or accept return of the vehicle from the consumer and refund to the consumer.

The lemon law states that the refund to the car owner can be reduced by a usage allowance for the owners use of the car. The usage allowance is the amount use by the owner before the first report of the problem to the dealer or manufacturer. The allowance also includes any mileage when the vehicle is not out of service. The usage allowance is calculated by dividing the mileage by one hundred thousand and then multiplying that percentage by the original price.

Time is of the essence in a lemon law case. The longer you wait to do something the worse your case may get. Therefore, if you think your car is a lemon under the North Carolina lemon law, you must find a lemon law attorney right away. The lemon law is a great tool for purchasers of lemons, but it also contains landmines that can hurt your case if you do not follow the law to a t. Dont fret, the best part of the lemon law is the part that makes the manufacturer pay the attorney fees for your attorney if your car is a lemon.
