FUEL SAVING TIPS

How Have Hybrid Cars Revolutionised The Car Industry?

The car industry has entered a new era with the introduction of the hybrid cars. The fuel consumption of these cars is minimal when one compares them to other cars. Called the ‘Car of the Era’, driving a hybrid car has several benefits. This car brings advantages not only to those who drive them, but also to the people in general.

Hybrid cars are environment friendly, as they emit 30 to 50 percent less greenhouse gases. Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) has gained great popularity these days. It utilises two energy sources; gas motor, and electrical motor. These cars allow the electric motor to take control of the vehicle completely from the gas motor when the vehicle is at a standstill.

These hybrid cars have gained their popularity due to various reasons. A hybrid car combines clean energy of the electrical motor with power of the gas motor, which provides the car with better mileage, and less greenhouse gas emission. Due to the use of improved technology, hybrid cars are performing alongside the gas-motor vehicles.

The level of reliance and comfort that hybrid cars offer is no less than what conventional cars do. In addition to all this, the consumers of this car save plenty with governments of several countries offering tax benefit with its purchase. Governments want to induce its citizens to buy hybrid cars for which, they now offer them incentives. Moreover, hybrid cars are also much easier to clean and maintain as compared to other cars.

Hybrid cars have a smaller engine that helps give the car a much better mileage. It emits lesser carbon dioxide, and greenhouses gases as compared to the other cars. The electrical motor that hybrid cars use helps them keep the environment clean. Hybrid cars contain Regenerative Braking technology, which allows the batteries to recharge without the help of an external source.

Hybrid cars come with an aerodynamic design, along with light material, and smooth tyres. This design owing to developments in technology gives the consumer the benefits of better energy consumption, and longer mileage. As the hybrid cars have a different design from other cars that are not as efficient with fuel, it allows them to go an extra ten to fifteen miles on an average.

The rise in the prices of fossil fuels is a continuous process, but the worrisome part is the fall of the resources of fossil fuels. Hybrid cars prove to be quiet useful in this regard, as they are fuel-efficient. They stabilise the oil prices to quiet an extent with their economical consumption of fuel. Along with economical benefits, hybrid cars also have technical benefits. They are much easier to clean, and maintain as compared to other cars.

The motor industry has been revolutionalised with the introduction of hybrid cars. It is increasingly becoming the popular mode of transport for millions over the gasoline cars. The modern design of the hybrid cars has outpaced all the previous cars, containing none of their earlier defects as well as with an extra advantage of being environment friendly. Considering all this, it would be perhaps realistic to predict that hybrid cars are here to stay.
